Maths with Parents - Message from Miss Lewis

The most useful, effective and efficient way of supporting your child with their Mathematics learning at home is to make sure that your child is registered with the Maths with Parents programme. Each week (Monday) your child's class will be set a piece of learning (by their teacher) that fully corresponds to what they would be learning if they were in school at this point. If you have not registered as yet, please do so as soon as possible

Each week parents will receive a notification to log onto the MwP tool. You will see a short video with pupils speaking clearly about their learning (using the correct language) for the particular unit of work. This will be followed by 2 or 3 practical activities for you to complete with your child. You will then have the opportunity to leave some very brief feedback (verbally or via photograph).

To register, you will need (i) a parent email address and (ii) your child's class code. (please see below):

(FYJ) 445258 (FYO) 257541 (Y1E) 740915 (Y1R) 640431 (Y2D) 356927 (Y2SV) 209243 (Y3B) 854719 (Y3L) 655683 (Y4G) 529052              (Y4L) 118922 (Y5K) 288308 (Y5R) 283600 (Y6A) 215562 (Y6L) 552873

          Active Fusion Parent Letter

PE Family Pack

Many of you reading this will be teachers, headteachers and professional workers entering your 4th week of a new way of working.

Like our team at Active Fusion, you have had to mobilise a new skill set rapidly to accommodate for a new online way of working. In the first couple of weeks of lockdown, I was spending over 15 hours a day in front of a computer screen followed by watching hours of the news.  It didn't take long before I experienced the adverse effects of both my physical and mental wellbeing.

The importance of being active now compared to before the crisis has been reported by over 63% of people with even more adults stating that being active is helping their mental health during this outbreak.   (Sport England).

In this newsletter I would like to share with you some positive resources to support teachers, families and most importantly young people.  I am very privileged to work with an incredibly resilient and dedicated team of people.  'Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress, working hard for something we do care about is called Passion', Simon Sinek.

Good afternoon,
As we continue to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak and in response to the latest trends, we made the decision to commit our time to bringing our coaching and physical education knowledge to homes across Doncaster, South Yorkshire and beyond.
Each day at 2pm, we bring to you new, innovative ways to keep children, yourselves and your family active from the comfort of your own home.
